The Bloc equips progressive movements with the strategic communication tools needed to break through media barriers, shape public discourse, and amplify their messages on a national scale.
CONTENT
CREATION
Our media team creates engaging, visionary, and educational content for The Bloc. Through short documentaries (aka Bloc Docs) and the Bloc Party Podcast, we work to uplift the efforts of progressive leaders, policy, and movements.
POLITICS
The Bloc provides the political strategies and support necessary to navigate the complexities of Capitol Hill and electoral politics, build influence, and ensure that progressive voices are heard in the corridors of power
TRAINING
We offer extensive training and professional development programs aimed at nurturing the next wave of progressive leaders. Our focus includes training communications directors and spokespeople, as well as early and mid-career professionals eager to enhance their skills and craft in community organizing, social movements, electoral politics, and strategic leadership. These programs are designed to ensure a lasting impact in their fields.
WHAT WE’VE
DONE
We’ve spearheaded strategic communications and political campaigns that have reshaped the progressive landscape. We played a pivotal role in electing The Squad, providing strategic guidance and media support to progressive champions like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jamaal Bowman, and Summer. Our efforts were instrumental in the Green New Deal campaign, training activists and crafting earned media campaigns that ultimately led to the largest investment in clean energy in American history.
Our commitment to social justice extends to student debt cancellation and advocating for racial and migrant justice. The Uncommitted movement and our vigorous push for a ceasefire in Gaza showcased our ability to shift public opinion and influence mainstream media narratives, challenging AIPAC's dominance and advocating for Palestinian rights. Through targeted training programs, we equipped activists with the skills needed to navigate complex political terrains and effectively communicate their messages. We’ve also been at the forefront of untangling neoliberal policies and promoting a green industrial policy that prioritizes sustainability and equity.
